The Wesbury Foundation is dedicated to advancing the Christian mission of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community through promoting the needs of seniors, encouraging contributions, and prudently managing philanthropic donations to and assets of the corporation.

In short, when seniors need help, Wesbury is there. In no small part, that’s thanks to our donors!
Incorporated in 1996, The Wesbury Foundation was created to advance Wesbury’s mission by promoting the needs of seniors, encouraging charitable contributions, and building relationships with community partners. The Foundation prudently manages philanthropic donations to and assets of the corporation as it secures funds for benevolent care, campus beautification, facility enhancements, spiritual life, and scholarships.
In addition, many of our Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center residents came to Wesbury directly from hospital, home, or other facilities, and they were not prior Wesbury Independent Living or Assisted Living residents. A significant proportion of these individuals also have minimal insurance and/or limited financial resources and depend on Wesbury to provide unreimbursed care.
Although Wesbury’s care environments are priced within dollars of other area facilities, the cost of care can quickly deplete a person’s resources. Simply put, after financially qualifying, if a resident runs out of resources, Wesbury pays for the uncovered care through our Benevolent Care Fund. We depend on philanthropic support and funds raised through our trips and events to supplement other resources, such as Medicaid. Our continual fundraising efforts help us to keep our commitment to our residents, including our personal care, long-term care, and memory support community members: They will always have a home at Wesbury.
