Monetary gifts can be given in memory or in honor of a loved one any time of year and, unless otherwise specified, Gift proceeds are directed to the Foundation’s Benevolent Care Fund. The Foundation will gladly notify others of your gift.
Partnership and Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsors and Partners include individuals, businesses, and organizations that partner with us to sponsor Wesbury events and programs. In recognition of their support, Wesbury Sponsors and Partners are featured in event signage and programs, newsletters, social media, and right here on our website!
Planned Giving
Planned giving is accessible to anyone, regardless of their income, and it allows donors to make larger gifts than they would typically make from their discretionary income. Planned giving language may sound slightly intimidating, but once you understand the basics, you’ll discover exciting opportunities to help our residents, to solidify Wesbury’s future, and to leave a legacy of your generosity.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts
Any donation may be made in memory or in living honor of a loved one, and the Foundation will gladly notify others of your gift. In addition, donor generosity is reflected in numerous tangible tribute gifts throughout the Wesbury Campus, such as benches, plantings, and bricks in our Circle of Friends Patio.
The Campus Beautification Fund helps to defray the cost of maintaining and enhancing our grounds. Donor generosity may be reflected in the numerous benches, plants, trees and shrubs throughout the Wesbury campus. By donating directly to this fund, your gift will be used to enhance the campus when needed. You may wish to designate your donation to be used in one of the following ways. Our landscaping team selects only flora that thrives on the Wesbury campus. All plantings are placed in common areas of our campus so that they may be enjoyed by the entire Wesbury community. Gifts begin at $250, and all tribute plantings are identified with an engraved plaque.
Our landscapers are experts at blending vegetation and hardscape materials to achieve beautiful results to include benches, bricks and stonework. Hardscape gifts are either directly engraved or accompanied with an engraved plaque.
Gifts are accompanied with an engraved plaque.
Sponsor a 4” x 8” brick that is permanently engraved with a 2-line or 3-line message.
The Wesbury Foundation’s Tree of Life is a beautiful tribute and memorial to our donors and their loved ones. Located in the lobby of Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center, the Tree of Life represents the deep roots of Wesbury’s giving history. Dedicated in October of 2003 during the Fulfilling the Mission campaign, the funds raised on the Tree of Life were used to assist in the completion of the Emmaline D. Barco Memorial Chapel, the Sunset Auxiliary Gift Shoppe, and the new entrance to Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center. Leaves, stones, and acorns of various sizes and colors were placed onto the tree, depicting various levels of giving throughout the campaign.
Leadership gifts of $25,000 or more may be commemorated with an inscription on a stained glass window in the Emmaline D. Barco Memorial Chapel.
Spiritual Life Fund
The Spiritual Life Fund helps defray the cost of providing full time pastoral care for residents and staff.
The Charlie’s Angel Scholarship Fund was established by Wesbury in 2020 to honor the service of Charlotte “Charlie” Peirsel, a former Wesbury employee who sadly passed in 2021. Charlie combined knowledge, energy, compassion, and wisdom to provide extraordinary care to residents and their families during her 20 years of nursing. The annual scholarship in her name is awarded to a Wesbury employee or student at the Crawford County Vocational-Technical Center who is pursuing a degree in nursing.
Crawford Gives
Wesbury is proud to be among the many local, non-profit organizations that rally together to raise funds on Crawford Gives Days. Hosted by the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, these two days offer donors an opportunity to maximize the impact of their giving, since each gift is proportionately matched by the Heritiage Foundation. Crawford Gives Days are held yearly in August.
Luminaries
A luminary tribute gift of any amount helps Wesbury to continue a tradition began in 1985 when Rev. Herbert E. Boyd hand-dipped candles in his garage! On a special night each December, Wesbury’s campus is adorned with luminaries and other decorations in celebration of the season and in honor and memory of loved ones. In addition, luminary posters are displayed in our buildings and broadcast on the Wesbury TV Channel. Luminaries may be purchased from Oct. 1 – Dec. 31.
Donations of goods and services help Wesbury direct scarce resources to areas of greatest need. These gifts may be used directly by Wesbury or sold to benefit The Wesbury Foundation – either on an individual basis or as part of a Wesbury Sunset Auxiliary rummage sale. Items must be in good condition. We regret that we are generally unable to accept clothes, electronics, or exercise equipment. Gift Acceptance Policy
The Wesbury Foundation graciously accepts gifts and/or pledges of cash, appreciated securities, real estate, life insurance, tangible personal property, bequests and charitable gift annuities.
