“Bridges” Memory and Caregiver Support Group

Bridges is a support group for caregivers/family/friends of those who have a loved one that is suffering from memory loss for any reason such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc. We welcome any person whether affiliated with Wesbury or from the general public to attend.
Join us for “Bridges” a free monthly education and support opportunity for caregivers. Each month you will explore a topic, learn effective ways to respond to changes, share concerns and ideas and feel that you are not alone.
For the next few months we’ll be reading the “36-Hour Day Book” – A family guide to caring for people who have Alzheimer Disease and Other Dementias, by Nancy L. Mace, MA and Peter V. Rabins, MD, MPH. Please note: You can still participate in the meetings without having read the book.
Please stop by on the meeting day, or call to schedule a time to pick up a book. We are also happy to mail attendees the book. Please contact us at 814-332-9009 or fill out the form below.
On January 15th we’ll focus on Chapters 1, 3 and 5. We’ll briefly discuss the types/stages/characteristics of dementia focusing on the associated behaviors, symptoms and problems that arise in daily care. Sharing of ideas and strategies.
Please note: Photos and/or videos will be taken at events for possible use by Wesbury. By attending these events you consent to these images being used without compensation and you release Wesbury from any liability.
