The Wesbury Response to COVID-19
Providing a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff is our greatest concern. Wesbury Administration follows guidance and direction from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), PA Department of Human Services (DHS), and PA Department of Health (DOH). The following procedures are designed to mitigate the spread of the virus.
- A designated internal COVID-19 response team meets regularly.
- We collaborate with community leaders and regulatory authorities to review our processes and make adjustments where necessary.
- Visitors and staff are screened upon entry and are provided with the appropriate protective equipment.
- Visitors who are visiting multiple residents should visit residents on precautions last.
- Resident windows are not to be approached due to visitor safety and patient privacy.
- The Life Enrichment/Activities teams provide activity while adhering to social distancing and guidelines.
- Tours of Grace, Cribbs, Thoburn Village, Care Cottages and Vernon Square are offered. To schedule a tour call 814-332-9009.
When a positive case occurs, public health officials are notified and procedures recommended by the CDC and Department of Health are implemented.
- Positive Residents are isolated.
- Doors to the entrance of affected neighborhoods are closed to restrict the area and are put on the proper precautions.
- Staff providing care or services for residents on transmission based precautions utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) .
- Ongoing testing will continue as required.
- CDC, CMS and Department of health quarantine guidelines are followed for Covid positive staff and residents.

Visitation is permitted at all times at Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center, Memory Support Center, and Cribbs Residential Center. There are no set visitation hours or limitations to the frequency, length of a visit, or the number of visitors permitted throughout the day. Wesbury strongly believes in the additional protection the vaccination provides, and encourages all visitors to get, be, or consider vaccination.
To help prevent spread to residents and staff, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid highly recommend that visitors take a Covid19 test 1-3 days prior to visiting. Those who visit daily should consider testing every 2-3 days. Tests may be obtained from a local pharmacy or Walmart. Supply availability of tests can vary from store to store. It’s a good idea to call the and see who has tests available before setting out to buy one. Visitors are not required to show proof of a negative Covid19 test.
