Wesbury Welcomes Dr. David A. Williams as Medical Director

Wesbury has announced a change in their Medical Director position from John (Jack) Bailey III D.O. to David A. Williams, D.O.

For nearly three decades, Dr. Bailey has served Wesbury as Medical Director, providing Wesbury residents the care and security of a dedicated onsite physician.  Although Dr. Bailey is transitioning away from the Medical Director role, this is not a retirement for him.  This transition allows him more time to focus on his national medical consultant services as a leader in Geriatric Medicine.

In 2020, Dr. Williams began to serve Wesbury residents by seeing patients on the Village Center neighborhood at Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center while continuing his private practice located in Wesbury’s on-campus Medical Arts Building.  As Dr. Williams assumes the Medical Director role, he plans to continue seeing his patients in his private practice as well.  After working with Dr. Bailey and Wesbury residents and families for the past two years, Wesbury believes this will be a seamless transition in the role of Medical Director.

Dr. Williams has practiced in Meadville since 2006. He grew up in Chardon, OH, then attended Grove City College, where he earned his bachelor’s in Molecular Biology. After graduation, David was accepted at LECOM (Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine) and then trained at St. Vincent’s in Erie for his Family Medicine residency. Dr. Williams has been married to his wife, Lisa, who is also Office Manager of his practice, since 2001. They have three daughters: Rachel, Briana, and Lauren.

“Dr. Williams and I have been colleagues at both Meadville Medical Center and Wesbury for over 15 years and I have found him to be an excellent physician and overall “good guy”. He is well-trained, conscientious, reliable, and friendly,” says Dr. Bailey.  “He will be a great asset to Wesbury as Medical Director and I wish him all the best.”

Wesbury would like to thank Dr. Bailey for his years of dedication and leadership which has allowed Wesbury to become one of the premier facilities in senior care in Pennsylvania.  We look forward to a continued relationship with him as he continues his service in Geriatric Medicine.
