March Volunteer of the Month – Ceil Marsteller

Ceil Marsteller has been a longtime volunteer at Wesbury and is the March Volunteer of the Month. She began in the 1980s, long before moving to Thoburn Village in 2005. Early on, Ceil served Catholic Communion to the residents of Wesbury, and she continues to do so today! She is a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish of Meadville and Altar Rosary Society. Ceil was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. She and her husband moved to Meadville in 1965 and they raised their 4 children.  One of which is the Administrator of Cribbs, Larry Marsteller. She is a very active resident of the Wesbury Community. She not only serves Communion to the residents at both Grace and Cribbs, but she does home visits with Thoburn Village residents who would like to receive Catholic Communion. Ceil is also a volunteer greeter and clerical assistant at the Thoburn Village Clubhouse, and she helps out in a variety of other ways like at the Chicken BBQ and annual Garage Sale. Ceil has participated in the USO shows, fashion shows at Wesbury, and is normally up for anything. She enjoys going on outings with her neighbors in Thoburn Village and has gone on many Wesbury Travelers Trips. The proceeds from the Travelers Group go towards the Wesbury Benevolent Care Fund. She not only enjoys these wonderful trips but also likes the idea that it helps the residents of Wesbury.

“I really enjoy visiting with the residents and I feel like I get as much from serving Communion as they do receiving it. I feel very blessed that this is something I continue to be able to do.”
