February Volunteer of the Month – Darryl Boleratz

Darryl Boleratz is February’s Volunteer of the Month! Originally from Harborcreek, PA, Darryl grew up on a dairy farm near Union City. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Wesbury’s Thoburn Village. They have two sons, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In the U.S. Air Force, Darryl was in active service as an Electronic Technician on a missile tracking radar system. Most of his civilian career was as an Electronic Technician at the US Postal Service. Darryl is an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoys watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. Since signing up to become a volunteer in November 2021, Darryl has been very active in supporting residents from throughout the Wesbury community. Each week, he helps with transporting residents to therapy, church services, and activities programs as well as assisting residents with dining.

“I volunteer at Grace because it is a blessing to be able to help others. It has been nice getting to know some of the residents at Grace. The residents and employees at Grace are very appreciative of the help from volunteers.”
