January Volunteer of the Month – Gail Rose

Gail has been a volunteer at Wesbury for six years. Some of Gail’s areas of support include helping as a clerical assistant and tracking the monthly hours for all Wesbury volunteers. She supports residents by transporting them to activities and going on outings as well as helping with monthly parties and holiday happenings. Gail also was a Chicken Run volunteer.

Gail lives in the Saegertown area. She is a widow. She and her husband belonged to Street Rods of NW PA and enjoyed traveling. Gail is blessed with a daughter, a son-in-law, and a special grandson. She plays golf and is an animal lover. Her pets are an important part of her life.

During her working career she had several different jobs including Medical Transcriptionist, Medical Secretary, Office Manager, and in accounting at a tool shop.

Gail was very familiar with Wesbury before becoming a volunteer. Her mother and father-in-law were residents of Thoburn Village. After her father-in-law’s passing, Gail’s mother-in-law moved into Cribbs and eventually to Grace. Gail has the highest praises for the staff at Wesbury. She saw over and over the care and dedication they showed towards her mother-in-law.

She says she truly enjoys volunteering with the residents of Wesbury. She enjoys visiting with the residents and finds it very rewarding and uplifting.
