A Name Change and More for “Help at Home with Wesbury”
2020 has been a year of modifications. This includes at “Help at Home with Wesbury.” It has been over two decades since Wesbury first introduced home and community-based services under the name of “Wesbury’s Home Enriched Living Program” (or “H.E.L.P”). In-home care was a very new concept, and Wesbury was at the forefront by bringing this option to seniors in the region. What consumers seek and what is available to them has evolved immensely over time, and they have continually changed to meet new needs and preferences. A few years later, customers would turn a new name, “Help at Home with Wesbury,” for the growing menu of available in-home services. Services now include companion services, meal delivery, emergency response buttons, housekeeping, and medication support. In 2015, the concept of Care Cottages was added, which currently consists of six residential homes that provide around-the-clock care in Meadville, Cochranton, and Titusville for up to three residents in each location.
Here forward, “Help at Home with Webury” will simply be called “Wesbury at Home.” In addition to the name change, they are moving their offices from the Downtown Mall in Meadville to Wesbury’s main campus at Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center. Additionally, “Wesbury at Home” is now under the direction of Nursing Home Administrator and Director of Home and Community Based Services, Sheila Bundy. Michelle Peters, who has been promoted to Assistant Director of Home and Community Based Services, will lead the day-to-day operations, and Jackie Palmer has been hired as the new Care Cottage Coordinator. Community Services Coordinators Kalli Hozerland and Becky Guianen, will help customers understand what option best suits their needs.
This great team of compassionate professionals will design a plan of care tailored to a person’s needs and preferences. While the name has changed to “Wesbury at Home,” customers can expect the same high-quality programs and services designed to assist seniors to live in the comfort of their own homes to maintain active, healthy, and secure lifestyles.
Wesbury, located at 31 N. Park Avenue in Meadville, is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to providing lifestyle choices and compassionate healthcare services to area seniors.
