How Can I Help the Sunset Auxiliary Support Wesbury Residents?
It’s really easy – All you have to do is shop! While on the Wesbury campus, stop in the Gift Shoppe located in Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center and make a purchase. Attend the annual Chicken BBQ and browse through the used books, gently used rummage or delicious baked goods, and make a purchase. During their Holiday sale in November, you can purchase some gently used holiday items. All of the proceeds from everything you buy at the Gift Shoppe or at one of the Auxiliary’s fundraising events are used to purchase items to benefit Wesbury residents.
If shopping isn’t for you, then you can always help by contributing in one of their “little yellow envelopes” during their annual membership drives at area churches. These monies are used to purchase hair care and gift shop gift certificates for resident birthdays, as well as support the Wesbury Benevolent Care Fund.
Founded in 1954, The Sunset Auxiliary is a network of individuals and groups within the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church, who make friends and raise funds for the residents of Wesbury. They always welcome those who are interested in volunteering their time, or would like to be a representative, known as a “Key Person,” in their church.
