Biggest BBQ Ever!

The heat and copious amount of sunshine did not stop the over 3,000 attendees from coming to Wesbury’s campus to enjoy the 28th Annual Chicken BBQ and Craft Fair on Sunday, July 16th.   As always, the event featured the delicious flavors of BBQ chicken and ribs as well as a full helping of live entertainment from Double Vision, Jay Bird and Haley Bee, Terry Farlik and the Watson Run Praise Band. This year, Wesbury staff and volunteers served more than 2,600 meals making 2017 the biggest BBQ ever! Guests hunted for treasures at the Granny’s Attic rummage sale, found their end of summer read at the used book sale, and were able to take home goodies from the Sunset Auxiliary bake sale.  Numerous crafters, area service providers, the Family Friendly Fun Zone and the Classic Iron Car Cruise-In all helped to provide something for the record breaking crowd who attended this year’s event.

Wesbury’s Sunset Auxiliary sponsors the annual event along with The Johnson Trust, Wilkinson Excavating, Inc., and DeSantis Solutions; and the Food Sponsor: UPMC Health Plan; proceeds directly benefit Wesbury residents through the Sunset Auxiliary and its Christian mission of service to older adults.

Thank you to our all our BBQ sponsors, volunteers, employees, and residents who make this such an amazing event. It takes all of us working together to make Wesbury the wonderful place it is. We look forward to celebrating 100 years of Wesbury providing the highest quality services to the region at next year’s BBQ!
